I Think it is a squirrel
I Thinks there is a squirrel in my attic . I am not sure it is actually an squirrel ,or if it is something else . Any idea on how I can get rid of it ?? . I tried calling some pest control companies but nobody handles squirrels or wildlife.
Just get one of those humane traps if you're the type of person that doesn't want to kill the thing.
I think I'd be more worried about how it got in than anything. Imagine getting a coon up in there stealing your tv :thief:

And what kind of animal control won't handle a squirrel? I thought it was their job to catch wildlife (unless we're talking about two different things)

On a serious note, you can probably tell if it's a racoon or a squirrel or what by what it's doing in your attic. By that I mean a squirrel would probably just be looking for a warm place, and probably trying to build a nest. And since you said it was in the attic check for clothes or blankets torn up or just anything that suggests it's making a nest.
On the other hand, I'd say a racoon would be looking for food, and since they are naturally mischievous animals I'd think they would be all over the attic, tearing up stuff and just being nosy.
But if anything is getting in your attic it sounds like you got a pretty big hole, so that can't be good. I'd definitely check that out pretty quick.
