hooking up a honeywell thermostat, HELP
i am hooking up a honeywell rth7400 to our heat pump/central air. i don't think i have the proper wires hooked up and the directions are crap.
i have 6 wires coming from the unit downstairs to the thermostat.

these were the wires that were hooked up to the old thermostat.
i think the problem may be the o and w2 wires, the directionsa are not clear where they go

part of the problem was identifying what to put in to identify my heating/cooling system when programming. i was up til 1 am this morning and decided to reinstall the old one and took another crack at it this morninng.
i went down to the unit and it was all frosted over, so i had to use the hairdryer to thaw it out :whew:
