It evens itself out. The only difference is the Acuras cost the same down here

Ebay > *
I found two local "pickup only" items. A small dinette set for $60 and a 5 year old leather L-shaped sofa (with recliners on one side and a pullout bed on the other) for $400.
I saved about $150 off my already small budget plus got two times the seating

So depressing. My fiancee and I just barely make 6 figures combined yet we can't find any houses, and almost no 2 bedroom condos we would consider buying. Out-fucking-rageous.

That should put a big dent into what you need to buy...

Im getting lured by the condo bug. Its so tempting. A bit smaller than I wanted but Im finding these homes are pretty much just as small.
Homes:
http://pub.realtyweb.net/cgi-bin/vie...684000000&id=1
Condo:
http://nfl.drhorton.com/plan.aspx?planid=19542
Pros: No need to buy lawn equiptment, etc or worry about painting or fixing any of the crap that will be wrong b/c it will be brand new with warranty. They are also in a neighborhood I think is up and coming.
Cons: Association fee, about 5 minutes further of a drive, smaller, no garage
Argh

Congratulations!! You must be so excited! Looks like you have really great, high ceilings! It's always a good idea to bring a second set of eyes when inspecting for problems. Was it just minor paint touch-up or drywall issues you found that need to be repaired?
Yea. Those free upgraded tile and fridge really helped out. Looks hella nice. And I LOVE the new washer and dryer. The dryer automatically fluffs your clothes with a shot of hot air after its done so it wont get wrinkled
The issues were stupid things, like extra paint here, chipped door there, and some extra grout needed to be added to clean things up. The worst thing we found was that the screen on one of the windows didnt come out smoothly. No biggie, it will get fixed.
Im really excited, but mostly just thankful the whole deal is almost over. Now my only financial responsibility is to pay the mortgage and go back to school. No more worrying about the fed raising intrest rates or homes in Jacksonville continuing to increase in price. Im a bit of a Type A personality when it comes to finances

Congrats! Hey, double check that toilet in the picture. The seat looks different color than the rest of fixture. I know different vendors sometimes, diff materials etc. may never match, but reason I question it, my builder from years ago - had put in a bone pedistal sink, with a white bowl - hard to see in different lighting, but we got them to swap it out cause it was in fact wrong. Sweet place. Good idea with the blue tape - our first house we used post-its but they would fall off we soon found. We are building now - very excited. Enjoy your new place!!
I think its the lighting...the same lighting that makes the cabinets look better than they really are
CK: Go ahead and get excited. A similar post on another board got me excited about it a few years ago. If youre motivated enough nothing else matters. I used to go to car shows thinking : Shit! I want that. Now I think they can have the car and the payment. Ill keep my ugly Cruiser and buy a home instead.

Type "A" behaviors include such traits as extreme ambition and competitiveness, impatience, time pressure and a high degree of propensity to anger and hostility. Drs. Meyer Friedman and R.H. Rosenman, pioneer researchers in this field, define a type "A" individual as a "person who is aggressively involved in a chronic, incessant struggle to achieve more and more in less and less time, and if required to do so, against the opposing efforts of other things or other persons."
The above definition highlights two traits of type A, the sense of time urgency and the need to prevail and control.
The other personality type, known as type B, denotes an individual who is more "relaxed" in his or her approach to life, somewhat opposite of type A.
One subgroup of type A people (the ones who are high on anger, hostility and cynicism) are more susceptible to heart disease than are type "B" people.
