Grill price break anytime soon?

When would be the best time to get a new grill? Would the prices drop by Labor Day? Just trying to get the best price - unsure if time of year plays into it or not. I am going to get the Weber Genesis Gold B - please no haters or flamers...

I don't know about other stores, but Home Depot is sure to have a blow out sale soon. NSXNEXT got a great deal on one buy buying a floor model that was missing a few knobs or something. He got the replacement parts pretty cheap.

Any day now...

We just picked up 2 teak steamer loungers, 2 kids adirondack chairs, a 48" round teak table and a smaller folding teak chair from a local business trying to get rid of all their summer stuff for just under $300 yesterday. (would have been a ton more $$ 2 weeks ago)..

Now I'm painting the deck so all that new stuff won't have to live on a crappy looking deck.

Good deals are out there for the next few months on summer stuff up in the snowbelt states. Get it while you can.

They don't put grilles on sale down here since it's always grilling season, but once in a while you'll catch some closeouts as they make room for the new lines.

However, if I remember correctly in the Northeast you'll start seeing some discounts in the next 1-3 months as they clear out the grilles for snowblowers.

Oh, and typically Weber offers the least discounts since they're Weber. Odds are you'll find more discounts with the other brands... but keep an eye out, b/c when the Webers to get discounted, they usually go very quickly...

This weekend was tax-free weekend up here in Mass., so I went to Home Depot and picked up a grill (along with many other items). It's a Vermont Castings, porcelain coated, 13,500 BTUs. It's not too fancy, but I may pick up some stainless steel grates for it. It came partially assembled, and the dumbass who did it stripped one of the bolts I needed to unscrew in order to put on the sides. Cost me another $20 to get a screw extractor bit for my drill!

what would be a good grill for about 300, gas only, I have a propane start, charcoal grill, I love the flavor it gives meat with charcoal but I like having the grill reeady in 5 mins not 30 with charcoals.

Was in buying my other appliances this weekend - Wash, Dry and Ref and wanted a grill too. Did not have the one I wanted - Weber Gold B ....sooooooo...I said lets deal in a Weber Plantinum B ....sweeeeeeeeeeeeet grill. Have no idea the actual price reduction since they just kept knocking down the prices of the other appliances to get to the price I wanted for the entire package....I got an offer much lower than expected (after researching lowest prices around) and I got them to toss in the $59 grill cover to boot!

New Grill!!

If anyone is still looking for a grill, here's a reminder that it's discount time (in the snowbelt - at least )

I just picked this 60,000 BTU Vermont Castings (VM600BSP) up for over 25% off and they even threw in a free (value = $50) grill cover:

Came with the rotisserie kit , backlighted knobs, an LED light for the grill, etc...

Next up, I have my propane company coming out in a few weeks to hard-line it to the 175 gal. tank I use for a gas fireplace. Can't wait for that! No more trips to fill up my puny gas grill propane tank.

^ Sweet grill!! No price breaks down here, but we have our grills already, so we're all set.

BTW you'll love having the grill hooked up to a large tank like that. No need to worry about the little tank running out of gas while cooking!!

Great deal on a great grill. I have the VC pictured in post #6. I've been happy with it.

I did the self assembly on it. Took about an hour or so, pretty easy.

That VC is essentially what I have, minus the side burner.

You'll really enjoy it.

Sweet looking!!

We finally closed and moved in so my washer, dryer, refer and grill came in too. The grill is the Weber Platinum B (yeah, I know many here do not like Weber) - but the price was great cause I bought all 4 items at the same time. Makes you wonder how much markup there is on stuff. Got them to throw in free cover too.

Its a nice grill - looks similar to yours. Stainless outside - stainless burners and cooking grates too. Just gotta get a gas line run from the house and 'da filets will be searing....

Ace or Home Depot or Lowes should have some sales coming up.

Those gas grills sure do look nice.....but Weber is all I'll get for the rest of my life. I was raised on Webers and I can tell the difference in taste.
