Dump Trailers
Thinking about getting a dump trailer, anyone have one and what is your opinion of it?
I was looking at something like this

Its about $4k, just don't know if I should go for the tandem axle one? It only gives me about 1800lbs more payload (gvwr) actually, from 5200lbs to 7000lbs for an additional $1500 dollars. Worth it?

all work and no play
one thing that is usually unthought of, but always a given..... "Hey, can I borrow your trailer?" by everyone
followed by...."sorry dude, I hit a curb and blew a tire/misjudged how wide it was and smashed it into a wall/house/other vehicle"

If you're only using it 1-2 times a year you're better off getting delivery or just renting a U-haul trailer or something. If you really feel you need a trailer, just get a standard landscape type trailer (5x8, 6x10, etc) for $500-$700 or so. Spending $4k on a dump trailer is insane. How much is delivery around you? I would imagine you could get a lot of deliveries for $4k.
We are getting a landscape trailer shortly, and already picked up a used ATV and cheap tow behind dump cart, and we're all in for under $2,700. So not only will we have a trailer to pick items up with, but with the ATV and pull/dump cart we have an easy and effecient way to distribute whatever we pick up around the yard...
