I am still having my above issue with my various cameras. I am pretty sure it is a coding error just can't figure out whether it is camera or the online part. However, if I pull power and reboot the cameras once a week it seems to be helping. I am also tempted to take my christmas tree light smart plugs and repurpose them for the time being to turn off for 60 seconds and back on once a week for each one of my cameras so I can stop manually doing it.
that's horseshit. You shouldn't have to go through that bs. It's a security system. It should be 100% reliable.

I have heard about it but don't have any experience with it.

Take a look. It;s software that does all the controlling/recording for most cameras and turns your computer into a high tech DVR. Includes motion activation, etc. Very widely used and compatible with many cameras.

My friend's Ring posted a video of them robbing her mailbox. I mean, even with surveillance, they don't care.

My gf and her mom both made fun of me for buying the Ring 2 and questioned why I would need it, last week my gf actually confessed to me that she likes having it now. When we were out of town we were able to see when her brother showed up to help with the dogs, also we know anytime someone triggers the motion or if a delivery gets delivered. Glad she came around, I didn't really care if she liked it or not, but glad that she sees the point of it now
