Designer ceiling tiles?

Anyone have any suggestion on ceiling tiles for a drop ceiling that are (a) stylish,(b) acoustically treated and (c) not expensive. The office building I am looking at has 2x2 standard tiles but I would like to dress up a few of the rooms - I've found some but they run roughly $30+/- a tile and that adds up quick and that doesn't include acoustical treatment on for on top of the tiles that runs $450-585 for a 4'x30' roll

I hate drop ceilings but if it is a must I think the best looking style are the raised patterns.

You could try this: Tin Ceilings. I only included this as you said you want to dress up some of the rooms. They have some as low as $8/each

I am with you, if there is any way to get rid of the drop ceiling in some of the rooms I am going to do it - I have to see what's above them.

In an office building though they are standard fare. Nothing wrong with some decent ceiling tile in an office. As long as they are all the same size and same pattern I think they'll look fine. Having a drywall ceiling will be a pain in the ass when it comes time to fix a leak or install a new light fixture.

That's the problem, I am converting this office into my house - I haven't bought the place yet I just want to be prepared.
