our living and dining area walls is painted "Green Grape." I hate this color but my wife liked it. I originally had a dark orange/rust color going but she hated it. Anyway, now it's green grape. I need some recommendations on what to paint the ceiling. Right now it's just primered white. Should I just get a bone or antique white? It looks too boring with a white ceiling but I don't want want to have a wrong combination either. I want it to compliment the darker cherry floors so should I paint it like a light brown or tan? Beige? Help.

The color actually looks like this friggin smiley like I painted the room with a big green highlighter!!??

tried it and nothing seemed to work except white. Might have to repaint the place again.

 

You could paint it a similar tone of bright orange

BTW. Dark cherry can never go with Hi Liter/Neon Orange or any other type of saturated colors.
