This little item should be hanging in every homeowners shower stall, trust me...it's worth the $3...works a million kazillion times better than draino!

This should be a STICKY, imho...this thing rocks.

My gf got a clogged drain and she called a guy out. Used the snake and sold her expensive draino for 10x the price. She watched and he taught her how to use the snake. So it clogs again and we get the snake out with a drill so life is easy. Still did not work. Reluctantly, she let me use a plunger. The trick with a plunger is to push up and down hard 3-5 times, then yank upwards hard. The yanking upwards really helps...

Forget the fancy plungers as well. Just get a regular, good old fashiong plunger.

Draino (i think) makes a foaming type which works really really good. Works kinda like expanding foam insulation stuff. Pour it in drain - throw in 16 or 32 oz hot water and let it sit for 8 hours or something, flush out - good stuff. Other than that - my only advice is to do some man-scaping and trim that shit back - your shower will appreciate it, your sig other will appreciate it .....but you will have to give up your artistic drawings I guess

The problem is you used Drano.

That's not going to clean it out properly like a snake will - once the clog gets a little hole in it, the Drano drains out and it's gone. You need to snake it and if you want to get all of the soap scum off the pipes, use a pipecleaner brush. That's the only repair that's going to last.

Which reminds me I need to clean the drain out in my sink... thanks.

I was thinking the same thing this morning when I was shaving... Water wasn't draining as fast as it used to... Time to clean the trap again.

Well that's done. Had about 1/4 inch open in the drainpipe - I had to get in there with my finger and clean out all of the (presumably) gelled-up shaving cream and whiskers and the stuff that's been growing on them.

It should work great for another couple of years.
