I read thats where DaVinci got his inspiration for the Mona Lisa. She originally had a pencil thin pube mustache but people thought it was a little over the top for Leo and talked him out of it.

How do you "open the tub's clean out and snake it."?

There are a couple of things you can try.
First see if you can take the drain assembly off of the bottom of the tub to clean it out.
If that doesn't work go to the silver plate under the bathtub faucet. It should have two screws and it may have a lever on it so you can make the stopper go up and down. Unscrew this assembly and pull it out. You can then clean the portiton of the assembly that that goes into the water drainpipe. You may need to adjust this assembly to allow more water to drain out of the tub. Often times this assembly is not adjusted correctly so the water can't drain as fast as it should. Once you get the assembly out you can figure out how it works and what to do by looking at it.
Good luck!

this is the clean out:
some may have just a plate without the stopper lever.
remove that part and insert a snake (or auger) down in there. it should remove all the hair, splooge and gunk.

There's actually a plastic strip that is smaller than both of these, has little hooks on either side. I don't know the exact name of it, but it's like $3 at Lowes/Home Depot and will do a better job than any drain cleaner. It's called a mini-auger...i tried to Google it, but no luck. I use it & it's worth it's weight in gold(my GF has long hair & it comes in handy). Since I've had it, I've never needed draino...

Geezus I'm glad I'm a chick and I don't have to deal with this kind of shit. :shudder:
My dad once filled a plastic grocery bag with all the hair he pulled out of the shower drain in my bathroom. Well, it wasn't full, but it was close. Yuck.
