Amana HVAC equipment, thoughts.....?
Gents i'm looking for your insight,
I'm looking to replace my HVAC setup in my rental property. There's a deal on right now for Amana equipment where I can get a furnance and a/c don't pay for 15months. House is about 2200sq/ft. So the A/c is looking around 55,000BTU or upwards. Does anyone have any experience with the Amana brand? I'm going to do some more shopping around tomorrow, just looking to get ideas of what I should be looking out for. Thanks.

I feel the need...
For your rental, don't know about Canadian tax rules, but stateside -- one can write off improvements and depreciation. I'd suggest check into Consumers Report about Amana reliability. Put a Trane Furnace/Central AC in our rental because I didn't want to deal with any hassles.

Correct me if Im wrong, but Amana is Goodman No? I know amana is a rebrand of some other manufacturer, and i believe its goodman. We recently replaced our HVAC in my parents rental property, but the size of it is nowhere near yours and it was done for the sake of finally having central air. We researched Goodman products and found that their warranty is pretty decent. It certainly isnt a trane, but for their smaller capacity products, they fare pretty well amongst consumers for the most part. Warranty wise, i hear that Goodman offers the least amount of hassle for warranty. If something fails, they usually just go right ahead and ship you the part. With that said, most of their furnaces carry lifetime warranties on their heat xchangers, and 10 years on all other parts.

I know its air conditioners, but they do have furnaces
Try to differentiate from those reviews that claim faulty products due to bad installs. Product may be fine, but installation may just suck a lot to make the product fail. (over sizing, not setting a proper foundation to induce vibration, etc, etc)
