yep - we have 7 bricked steps to our front door. Mostly due to land grade and we added 12" to foundation height to get the 9ft basement ceiling. I have never seen front steps like that though. Looks common in that neighborhood.

most of the houses in that area are like ours. the place will be ours for 5-10 years, and then will buy what we really want.


but like JB said, you can go up or down.
there is not a ton of room but there is only the 2 of us.

but the area where you go upstairs has been painted by us and now we need to paint the 3 bedrooms and 2 bath.

we have spent a ton of money in the 1st 6 weeks there.
$1000 on a fence
$1500 on the washer/dryer
1500 on new fixtures misc.

now that we have all the major spending out of the way. i may look into a wood stove to a better source of heat for the winter. we only have a heat pump so it may be cheaper to get a wood stove also
