00TL-P3.2's New House
Still working on getting moved in, have about 2 loads left at the old house.
5/3.5/3 House, built in late 2013, just shy of 5k sq ft on 0.33 acre. Coming from a 3/2.5/2 on 0.1 acre, it's a big upgrade. Have plans, just need to get moved in first & figure out a timeline/budget on things, lots of new stuff for me.
House has tankless water heater, pool/spa, solar panels on the roof, water softener & I believe is set up for some smarthome functionality.
Here's some before shots from our listing.
A few evening shots of the exterior:

And, the truck fits!

Right now, it's a mess of boxes & furniture. Hoping to get some major unpacking done this weekend & start getting things where they go. So far we've been just getting everything out of our old house & working on getting some painting done.
Future plans, are putting a 55-60" 4K in the living room & getting the media room set up with a big screen & nice projector. Later, may look into adding a built in gas grill on the back porch.

Definitely loving the pool, especially since we picked the hottest/humidest week to move.

Added a Neato Botvac Connected to the house. Does surprisingly good job on Turbo mode. Haven't run it since we added a large rug in the living room, need to test it while we're home & awake before setting it up to run at night.
Next up is swapping some chandeliers for ceiling fans in our 'shop' (former formal dining/sitting rooms), then a POE switch & some WiFi access points. With our modem/router at the front of the house upstairs, the WiFi signal is pretty weak in the master on the lower & rear of the house and non-existent in the back yard.
House has a 16 port patch panel running CAT5 throughout the house.

Well, the Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher may soon
It's just not getting the job done & occasionally leaving the detergent tab untouched. Time to start shopping dishwashers...

We're having the ISP come out & replace the ISP provided Netgear AC1200 on Sunday. Range is so poor that I have about 50% indicated WiFi strength in the living room, about 30 feet from the router.
Router is located in a front bedroom upstairs, but is line of sight plus 1 wall to the living room. About 5% reliability of WiFi in the master at the back of the house. I can see about 5-6 neighbors' routers from my house, but can't see the one 30' from me.
Plan is to get a PoE switch & 2-3 access points to place throughout the house.

Ahhh bummer. Only other option would be customer firmware and boost the signal strength but not really worth it since the house is already wired.

Another (probably better) option would be to do a mesh network throughout the house. You can add nodes as you see fit to fill dead spots as you go.

Just dropped some $$ on Christmas lights. Wasn't as bad as expected, but I'm sure I'll come up short somewhere.
Now to see if any neighbors have an extension ladder. Probably get done over the 4 day Turkey weekend.

I'm not doing lights because I'm lazy and it's too cold to go string lights on the roof. I'll put up a tree sometime this weekend.

Took all day Friday, but got it done....
Not happy with the gap on the 2 windows, but the ladder I had wasn't tall enough & I didn't want to get on the roof

Nice work & nice house.
I can actually get to the top of the roof from the back yard & walk up the back of the house, just wasn't in the mood. Was coming down with a head cold & just wanted to be done.
It'll get done better next year & with a longer ladder.

Come on over. There's a few houses for sale around here. None flooded after Harvey, so it'd take a Noah's Ark level of rain to flood over here.
