Winter is coming - Jacket reccomendations
Anybody have a company or designer they like that has a coat or jacket designed to fit muscular bros without being so huge you look like you sit around and eat donuts all day?
I have a northface windstopper that used to fit me perfectly as an in between season jacket. Now that I made some decent gainz it is super snug under my armpits and in the shoulders. The next size up looks way to bulky. Same with my heavier Peacoat and puffer.
I'd rather not have to go to a tailor to get a jacket fitted. I remember seeing in one of Steve Cook's youtube vids he found one but I cant find that video...

Thanks bro, obviously I know this haha. I've been working 12 hour days recently so I'm short on time. Was just hoping for a suggestion or two so I could go in and not waste time in stores on the weekends.

here's whats really going to blow your mind....
on top of cuts and how they fit, there are many different styles, brah.
you're going to need to narrow down your choices to sweater, bubble jacket, peacoat, cardigans, etc...
then there's color!
omg, bro, you better get your mom to help you!!
but seriously, I have a cardigan from "surfside supply co"

I'm not huge, just a little muscular. Definitely not a lifting bro, would be looking for something clean cut. Maybe a forum was not the best place to ask for this type of advice...but I figured what the hell

Jester, don't listen to the guy who lives in Texas, when it comes to winter jackets I'm sure his heart is in the right place, but c'mon....

Where do you live? how cold does it get? plan on doing outdoor sports?
If you want the absolute king of winter coats, get a Canada Goose jacket. They are pricey- $500-800 for a jacket, but they're down filled with goose feathers and were designed for use in the arctic and they're made to last. Plenty of people have started buying them for daily winter use across Canada, simply because they keep you very warm.
They can fit a bigger guy too- they come in a ton of sizes.

Patagonia is a pretty good brand too.
Are you interested in sportier jackets? look at some ski/snowboard brands. Way too many to list.

what he should do is what the homeless do around here when it gets to -30C. Get a much bigger jacket than you need, stuff it with newspapers until the jacket is full. Then you look like a massive beast AND you stay nice and toasty! Win-win!!

Im fine with my Peacoat and puffer being a little snug as I really only wear those to work waling from the parking lot into the building so I prolly wont replace those. Looking for more of a middleweight jacket for the weekends.

He should also check Costco. I hear they have excellent pants. Probably the same for jackets.

there are somethings in life that you just have to do....like shop for your own style, budget, and sizes.
there are no shortcuts to this.
if you dont spend time, you'll end up getting something small, you dont like, or just plain old ugly.
believe me, i hate shopping bro, but its a must

I'd love a nice leather jacket. I got the same prob as OP where I'm like 42-44 (can't remember) chest but like 34-36 (depending on pants) so I could like a fat box very easily. Any suggestions?
