What exercises do you feel the strain the most?
Having back injuries is serious, you may have turned your neck during an exercise which could be the cause, or you just need to lay off the weights and let your back recuperate.

Ive been concentrating on abs mostly. Right now basically:

Mostly abs, some arms and then cardio. I am not sure which one is causing the pain.

Pills or pads?

Are you doing sit-ups, push-ups...? Sit-ups can fvck your back/neck up easily.

I was over-doing the push-ups and pulled something in my back as well. Got to see the DR about it.

Try some IBU-Profane first...if that don't help, try the hot/cold compress. Ice & heat pad back & forth.

"Bad" pain is usually a sign of bad form. You can also run into problems from not having a balanced workout - i know guys who are having back problems because they've only done the bench press, crunches and bicep curls for the past 5 years (not to mention they look fucking ridiculous).

What specific exercises are you doing?
