Playing while sick?
Growing up, I've always played hockey even when sick with a cold, cough and all. Love for the game never fazed me. I got a basketball game tonight and I have yet another cold, but now I don't feel like playing.
Any of you feel better after "sweating it out" while playing a sport? I'm kinda debating to play, but this cold is sapping my energy/will away. Should I anyway?

Warm up and see how you feel.
I noticed that, when I had a cold or felt a little off, that I wouldn't even feel symptoms after the warm-up or during the running, playing and breaks. Then I would feel pretty good/close to normal after a shower.
That doesn't work with a flu or in situations with heavy fatigue, though.

Well, if you want to get better sooner than you probably should rest. I guess it depends on how sick you are. I've played through mild viral upper respiratory infections but if I had the flu or something more severe I'd definitely rest.

Well I can barely breathe and my cough is showing up, but I'll get off my ass and play. It feels like my apartment is full of that germy shit, it'd be nice to get out. Thanks all!

Though we lost by 12 points [ @ teammates not making layups ] and I ended up coughing the whole game, I feel a lot better after a shower. It seems the feeling of shittiness when you're sick amplifies itself when you're just sitting around.
