My weight loss is officially complete - 130lbs GONE

That's impressive! Congrats.
I ate half a chicken (around 1200 calories, or so it says) last night after going to the gym. I don't think I'd ever be able to eat only 1200 in a day. My workout buddy on the other hand eats over 1500 calories in every meal and he's in tip top shape.

I should have said going below 1200 causes, or can cause, lots of problems.
Still, that is not much food. The lowest most of you will need would be something like 1500/day. Most people can lose very fast on 2000/day if they're hitting the gym at the same time.

:word: I cant seem to find meals and all. I am not creative. And i know it will mean a whole new grocery(sp) list. And its hard with 3 others in the family. And also work. Its a 9-5 work day for me. Cant do the middle run. meaning it might have to hour in morning and hour at night then.. huh..
Again, can you post when you have a chance, your meals and details. I know it was said that all you did was push ups and run. Were u able to run the full 20 mins. I know i cant last running for 20 mins. there will be some walking involved. ..in those 20 mins. how many miles would you say you ran?

you can prob start by walking if ur not in good shape. THAT much I know for sure. Fat burning HR for me is about 128 BPM. I can get that on a steap incline walking fast. U'd be suprised how much cals u can burn in an hour doing that. Just watch ur fav TV show or bring a video ipod to the gym!
I need a grocery list. I cannot stand carrots just thought I'd throw that in! :P

I haven't seen any "before" pics...ever....Regardless, I'm super happy for you! Try not to be *too* strict with yourself these next few months or you'll body will find a way of revolting. Nicer weather will give you tons of exercise options---football, soccer, baseball, basketball, ultimate frisbee.... so that might help with some of the cardio boredom. Again, congrats, Amir!!!!

Calories late in the day is overrated. So long as your daily total is at your maintenance level you won't gain weight.
I have chicken or fish usually, but that's because i like it. Tuna, salmon, whitefish, swordfish... it's all good. Sometimes i'll have beef of one form or another. Any whole grain and leafy greens for your carbs.

I stuck to Lean Cuisine, you can live off that stuff and conveniently lose weight while having the luxury of eating 4 different meals a day that would take you forever to cook. I know its not that appealing, but during weight loss, adjustments need to be made so you dont get out of habit. Obviously now that im done, im also done with lean cuisine, but i'l still have them for a meal that i have no time to cook for. I did however sprinkle potassium salt substitute on everything as well as cayenne peppers on EVERYTHING. Spicy food boosts metabolism too.
My favorite is the lean cuisine pizza or the lifestyle pizza brand....with hot sauce..tastes GREAT.
EAting that many calories may also cause your metabolism to slow down, so you MUST workout daily to keep it up there. I did it 3 times a day. Also, refeed on sundays, this cycles your caloric intake, which although some people argue is pointless, or of little significance, DID help me take off the last 15lbs at a good rate. It's also about balance, if you deprive yourself from all tasty food, you will not be able to control yourself once you are off the diet.
My refeed days were about 3000-3500 calories per day, mainly made up of good carbs, low fat. Once a week, I also made a nice 12oz T-bone steak.

ONE very important thing to take into consideration is sodium affects on your body. With low cal, and the amount of sodium found in cold cuts, packaged meals, soup, etc, your body will easily hold on to water, especially if you dont drink enough of it. This is why MANY MANY people get discouraged early into weight loss once they see the scale hasnt moved, or even went up! Tracking sodium levels eliminates this problem. You are STILL losing weight, even if the scale goes up, it just takes a couple days for your body to adjust.

Guess I am going to have to give up on trying to keep my muscle and just focus on cardio It's gonna be hard but I see most of you lose it that way and usually I am too tired to lift when I do cardio so I cut back on it. Great Job amir...get those before pictures up.
