Thumbs up My progress. Your input. :)

I went to the doctors 8 months ago to get blood work. My bad Chol. Was at 128. about 2 1/2 months ago I dropped it to 78.

I started working out 2 months ago right when I had a nasty stomach virus. I said to myself enough is enough and this can't be doing me any good.

I started out at 245 pounds to be very much honest. I been working out for the entire time and eating much better. I am currently at 217.7 pounds. Not bad for 2 months or so. My goal is to hit 180 by aug.

I use to eat about 8 times a day consisting of really high end fat foods.
Now at most its about 3-4 times a day much smaller portions and healtly choices. I work out at the gym and do about 40-45 min or cardio work outs. I do this about 5-6 days out of the week. For the 1st 3 weeks I did it every day straight but I noticed I was having much less energy at work.

I am 5'8 A damn greek kid
Eat a bowl of cereal in the morning (Special K)
At 10:00 at work I eat 1 small bowl of plain oatmeal (Yummy)
At 12:00 MAYBE and I mean maybe I might have lunch otherwise OCD kicks in and I am cleaning up my car for my entire lunch break (Burning cals)
At 5:40 I am at the gym working out for 40-45 mins
When I get home I eat dinner. Around 7:00-7:10.

I am an automotive technician so my job is a work out everyday to get cars in and out. When my membership at the gym expires I do want to get back on biking and running outside.

Well guys what I am getting at is, I know its not easy. Trust me. When I was a freshman in highschool I was 170 benching over 290 pounds. I was a pretty tough guy. I blame it all on the damn puerto rican g/f (which I love to death and been with for 6 years) blame her and her need to go out and eat and her yummy spanish food hahahaha.

So this goes out to those are are in my boat. Keep it up guys! Any input guys! Thank you

I wouldn't skip lunch, and I agree with Whiskers. Does your body ever feel hungry? I wouldn't last eating as little as you do, but I still eat healthy.

Instead of plain oatmeal try the quaker weight control. They have about 6g of protein and 7g of fiber.

Increase the duration of your work outs if you can

Make sure you dont skip lunch. You will feel better and it will help you lose weight consistently when it starts getting tough to shed pounds.

First, get protien in with every meal. especially if you want to be anabolic (burn fat, build muscle). Get in 2 egg whites with you breakfast. Instead of special K go for a bran or whole wheat ceral. DONT skip lunch. you need fuel for your workout later and consistant eating keeps your metabolism humming. I reccomend buying a low carb, low calorie protien powder and consuming 15-20grams for your lunch break. Whats your dinner? stay away form fast digesting carbs like white rice, white potatoes, white bread, ect.. Yams and brown rice are your best bet for nightime carbs. keep nighttime carbs to a mininum, your body dosent need the fuel carbs provide while you sleep. oatmeal is great too, good choice on that. i could go on and on but this should help a bunch, any questions or tips just ask!

I'm in the same boat as the OP, thanks for the thread It's nice to see others succeeding from where I'll be starting. I can't wait to get down to under 200. Hopefully by the end of the year. I'm just doing research now for tips and routines ect. Going to start April 23 the day after my last exam.
