Massage for Injury
Looking for info on what to look for in a massage place for a muscle injury (15 years old). Not looking for hot rocks, Yani and incense... I am guessing this will hurt and the person doing it will be probably be a dude...
What are the certifications or licenses for this kind of thing? Any Do's and Don'ts, or things to look out for?
FYI, it's an upper back swinging motion related injury that still bothers me.

you're looking specifically for massage? I'd probably check out a sport therapist first and see what they have to say... massage is probably only one part of a good regimen for recovery or whatever you wanna call it..

You might want to look for buzzwords like "active release", "deep tissue" and "pressure point" in their service description.
Good luck...
I found a therapist that I used for years to treat my bad shoulder. Unfortunately he lost his license due to a sexual harrasment charge from a female patient. Now the search is back on and I havent found anyone good yet.
