Losing weight Spinning.
I've been doing "spinning" for about 2 months now.
I like it, but recently I've been leaving halfway thru (the last 2 sessions).
I find that I enjoy playing basketball (full-court) more.
I also find that I am getting winded halfway thru the spinning class.
Spinning is an option for people with a memberships at the gym
that I belong to, it does not cost extra.
My question is,
should I stick it out with the spinning in attempt to lose my weight more rapidly,
or:
Keep doing with I'm doing (1/2 of a spinning class and then 1 hour of ball).
I see basketball as a good workout (cardio), but it's definitely not the same.
I'm actually at the gym for a longer period of time now that I've skipped out
of spinning for basketball.
btw
specs:

One on the right for me
I'd keep doing what you are already doing. I like spinning, and am on the bike when I can't get a real ride in, but its probably better that you are doing along the lines of basketball as well.

the thing about spinning for weight loss is kinda tricky... for some people it works (e.i. Whiskers), but for some people it doesn't... Theorically, you wanna use fat for fuel, right? well, if your body goes into anaerobic... it's burning more sugar, and using less fat for fuel, at which point lactic acid start to build, your body go into fatigue a lot sooner which is why you feel "winded"... Try and get yourself a heart rate monitor (you can find them as cheap as $30), and watch your H.R. during class... A good instructor will play songs and instruct the class accordingly (perhaps, intervals... like a song with a moderate level/pace/resistence on the bike... then go into an intense song to bring your H.R. up, then back down to another moderate pace, and so on and so on....) But I've seen instructors that just wanna torture everybody in the class... keeping everybody's H.R. pass their anaerobic threshold... while that kind of spinning can help you up your metabolism... however, (again theorically)... you're really not "burning fat". Then, here is where it gets tricky... people will argue... "well, if you raise your metabolism, doesn't that help you in your weight loss?". Which IS a good arguement... but being a personal trainer, I have MY clients (over 500 in the last 9 years) do their cardio in their "fat burning zone" (aerobic) just my
