Anyone eat their stuff?
I recently started eating Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal. Tastes pretty good, is high in fiber and a good amount of protein. Low impact carbs too. They have cereals, bars, shakes, and crackers too. What kashi products do you use?
www.kashi.com if you want to check out what they have. Their stuff is available in grocery stores and such, if there's nothing near you that carries it, you can order online as well.

I eat that stuff too. That's the only one I normally eat though. I occasionally get the Heart2Heart. That one tastes like cardboard, but sometimes I have to keep my cholesterol in check.

Too much calories and for for me.....

on to the next one...
I have the cereal as well, though I think your body gets used to the stuff cause I eventually stopped shitting 6 times a day after eating it for a month or so...
I haven't really noticed any drop in weight since I started eating it, but it can't be hurting me, so what the hell... Dice up some fresh strawnberries or blue berries and it's quite good.

Interesting. Interesting.
I have a feeling that Whisker's health is deteriorating due to his eating habits.
Lack of moderation will catch up to you, Juan, when you start getting dizzy from lack of energy, your skin loses it's elasticity and your eyes shrivel up due to lack of fat, and your bones become as brittle as chalk from lack of calcium and other nutrients.

Anywho...you would have to eat a shit load of soy protein everyday for a long time to even see an increase in estrogen levels. Thus the little amount in Kashi products will not affect your hormone levels. Just think of all the soy products asian men eat yet they still hump like bunnies....

I eat the Kashi Go Lean Cereal. Kashi makes good crackers too.
I also tried Kashi "Good Friends" cereal as well and hated it. I bought it because its high in fibre, but I think its for old people

Tried the Kashi Go Lean crunch. Tastes good but...
Right around 1PM like clockwork, I would start farting and not stop until 8PM or so. Luckily they didn't smell too much but when you're cracking one every two minutes who wants to take the chance of farting in the old open cubicle?
I'd bloat up with gas, have to loosen my belt by one notch and every hour go into the bathroom to play the sphincter symphony.
Won't buy it anymore.

Actually, I looked this morning and it turns out Oatmeal Raisin Crisp has 230 calories/serving.
Also, 1 serving is 1 cup of cereal. No way I eat just one cup. I probably have close to 1.5 cups.
It's amazing that I'm not obese.
....on second thought, maybe I am and I just don't know it.

There is NOTHING wrong with having alot of calories in the morning! Thats when you need calories. They will easly be burned during the day. If you want to cut calories do it at dinner time. You guys are nuts.

So, are you still doing your 600 calorie a day diet because you want to weigh less than 160 lbs? Unless you're 5' 2", I'd say you're on the verge of being emaciated. You may want to go back to a normal diet.

About 2,000/day, depending on age, weight, and how much you exercise.
Seriously though, are you still trying to lose weight? Have you settled into eating habits that you can maintain forever? Just curious.

A glass of orange juice is better than a glass of water in the morning. Sure the orange juice has more calories, but you NEED calories to function properly. It also has vitamins. Same goes for carbs...which should make up the majority of your diet. You brain needs carbs to function. I.E. If you starve your body of carbs you will be dumb.
It's all about balance. You can be skinny and in VERY bad health.

If you exercise during the week, 1500 calories probably isn't enough.
Also, do you make sure you are getting the proper nutrients? It seems like you are focused totally on calories and fat - but that's just my impression. it's also none of my business really.

There is plenty of info out there stating that "white" carbs (starchy) is not processed well. Good carbs come in wheats and grains.

Yeah, I went nuts when I first decided to get in shape after ballooning in college. It was the mid-90's and low fat was all the rage. So, I decided the closer I could get to NO fat, the better off I was.
I was literally down to about 5 grams of fat per day. I lost weight (which was really because I exercised and the stuff I did eat was low cal). Then, after a couple years, I started to develop major dry skin problems and problems with my eyes. I went to the dermatologist and he asked about my diet. When I told him how much fat I was taking in, he almost fell over.
Since then, I have moderated much more. My skin is back to normal at this point.
Now about 10 years after I started my health kick, I do pay attention to what I eat but I don't go insane. I take in about 2,000 calories a day and probably about 40-50 grams of fat (although I don't monitor fat much anymore). I've been about 160 lbs for 7 years (I'm 5' 11"). At this point, I'd never embark on any "diet" that I couldn't see myself maintaining indefinitely.
Now that you've lost the weight you wanted to, I think moderation is the key. You are never going to be able to maintain a diet in which you are deprived of calories or nutrients. At some point, your body will react badly to it.
