High Cholesterol
My father is 40 years old, his LDL (bad cholesterol) is 269. His doctor just prescribed Lipitor. Has anyone here taken it? What kind of lifestlyes changes should he start making to get healthier? What is a good diet?

Outnumbered at home
I was on that for a bit and it made me feel like ass. Felt like I had a chest cold the whole time. Not a fan.
I worked out and changed my diet drastically and now I am in the 150's.
Eat lots of grains/oatmeal and kiss the meat and cheese goodbye.
Tell your pops good luck.

Oatmeal and Cherrios, alot. Worked for my brother who is 30 and was at 280-something LDL. Mine is like 154, last time I checked, but my good cholestrol was low, so I need to bring that up. Doc said exercise should do it.
