So is it okay to eat expired protein bars? I have a bag full of them and I was just wondering since I've already eaten a bunch.

 

I wouldn't recommend it...

 

why?

 

Oxidation mostly. Certain bars are ok for up to six months after expiration, depends on what kind of preservatives and the temperature they were stored at. I just wouldn't chance it unless its an emergency.

 

 

Thanks ken but if I kept them in my freezer wouldn't that slow down the oxidation process? Ill just take out like 3 o 4 bars in the morning and do it that way. Sorry I'm broke and I don't want to throw them away if I don't have to.

 

If you froze them, you're probably ok.
