Best Nike running shoes?
I got a $120 credit to niketown.com from some shox that busted. I tried to order air max solas but they are sold out of every size over 7
So what should I get?
So what should I get?

Truthfully if you want some running shoes do not go with nike. Maybe its just me personally but those shox they have are crap and the only ones I ever like were their trail shoes that had a solid normal air sole.
If I were you I would go with some Mizunos, Brooks, or New Balance
BUT since you have a credit I would say go with their best non shox shoe...I am a shox hater very heave and uncomfortable to me.
Air Pegasus
Zoom Elite
EDIT: Just noticed the post before this one...if your going with shox choose what kind of pronation you have so the shoe can correct it and you don't end up hurting yourself while running.
It matters about your pronation...
Overpronators (Figure A): Your feet are splayed outward in a manner often termed "duck feet." You probably have low arches. When you're running, your arch collapses to absorb the impact shock, and your feet roll inward excessively (overpronate), sending force waves up your legs to your knees and beyond.
Best shoes for you: Stability shoes or motion-control shoes. They will reduce the inward roll of your feet, and thus the stresses on your legs.
Normal pronators (Figure B): Your ankles and feet maintain the vertical line of the lower leg. Your feet pronate, but not excessively. This is the most common foot type. Now you just have to determine if you have rigid or highly flexible feet. To do this, measure your foot length by putting a ruler on the floor, and placing your foot on the ruler with no weight on the foot (sit in a chair). Then, stand up, put all your weight on the ruler, and measure your foot length again. If the length of your foot doesn't change, you have rigid feet; if the length increases by 1/8 of an inch or less, you have normal foot flexibility; if the length increases by more than 1/8 of an inch, you have highly flexible feet.
Best shoes for you: If you have rigid feet, choose cushioned shoes. If you have normal feet, choose stability shoes. If you have highly flexible feet, choose stability or motion-control shoes.
Underpronators (Figure C): Your feet are turned in (pigeon-toed), and you probably have high arches. You most likely have rigid feet that don't pronate inward much as you run, which decreases shock absorption. Result: You need extra cushioning to absorb the impact shock of each running stride. (Note: This is the least common foot type.)
Best shoes for you: Highly cushioned shoes with single-density midsoles.
If I were you I would go with some Mizunos, Brooks, or New Balance

The air zoom millers are pretty tight, i have that pair above and the silver and blue. I run in them, albeit on occasion, and they offer me good support, although by no means am i a runner or anything close.

I have run in the air pegasus and they aren't bad at all. What kind of running are you doing? For long distance I would not suggest anything other than Asics...they own long distance.

I must have missed the Asics section on NIKETOWN.COM
I am kind of curious about those Free things. Nokio....you say horrible...but they are supposed to kill your feet at first, like running on sand would. Or maybe its a gimmick.

one of my running partners bought the free barefoot things, he hates them
he says they have no support and aren't really for actual running, they just look cool

I run on dirt, so my shoes get dirty as hell. If I get those they will be 'dress' shoes and I won't actually use them for running, they are too pretty. I'll get some ugly things for actually running in.

Here are my ugly running shoes. Asics GT2100 - very good rating in Runners World, btw Nike Shox didn't do too well in the reviews but that only matters if you're a runner. Check out their site for the proper shoe your type of pronation. http://www.asicsamerica.com/category...Y_ID=250001173

I can't remember, but I do remember it being quite a bit less than the regular price...

The Nike Free's not for everyday running. It's meant for once or twice weekly training for strengthening your feet. If worn everyday, it'll do more harm than good.

As a Nike employee, I would suggest Air max 360's or Air Pegasus... The pegasus would be the best bang for the buck, since they were only 49.99 @ my store... If you want a dam good pair of running shoes, air max 360's the way to go. It's worth the 160. =) . PM me if you want a pair, we might actually have some in the store.
