Back on Creatine... need some info...

Back on Creatine... need some info...

Hey ya'll... got a question.

To sum it up...

I was on creatine almost all of last summer. I did the whole 4-5 times a day intake period, then i cycled it off and on with once a day.

Since then though, i haven't taken creatine on a regular basis, as my workout schedule has been extremely sporadic (being busy w/ school and work an' all).

In any case... I want to start back w/ it.

Do i need to go through a loading period again? Or can i just start off again with once a day and go from there with my other supplements?

you need to load but honestly why take it?? I've been on it and you can't keep the same gains without taking it all the time. Once you cycle off that's it....

The loading period is BS IMO. Just have a longer first cycle. You are putting enough strain on your liver and kidneys as it is.

Loading phase does serve a purpose... I can provide details if you want.

Do 5 servings of 5 grams per day for 5 days, then cut down to 5 grams per day. The best way to take it is with a non acidic juice (apple, grape) and throw a non medicated effervescent in it. Drink a shitload of water while on creatine.

I take alpha lipoic acid with creatine, its supposed to complement the effects....but I don't know the details of how that works.

heres the real answer, dont take monohydrate.


now with CEE (creatine ethyl ester) you dont need to load, you need to take less, more gets absorbed, and you dont retain water making your muscles look bloated and smooth.

ive done 3-4 cycles of mono in the past, it was good to me, but CEE is so much better. if you are looking for synergy with creatine, id recomend a vasal dialator, something with Arginine.

I always mix my creatiine with grape juice on workout days, on non workout days i use water to save some calories. The sugar is supposed to make creatine uptake more efficient.

Lastly, dont let your creatine set in solution too long, it will break down and make creatinine (sp) which is not good for you.

It all sounds Do it all naturally. You'd be surprised at the great results you can get just from eating well and working out using the correct form and technique. Don't take a thing.

take a look at my avatar.................NO SUPPLEMENTZ! brother, just diet, the right routine, and REST will do wonders. When I was 19, I weighed 167lbs at 5 foot 9. I didn't start lifting till I was 24. I weigh 217lbs , bench 465lbs. can run 4 miles in 26 minutes in boots and pants and in the sand. All it took was hard work. I also grew 2 inches. Look at it like this, people got big way before GNC.

But look at it like this... creatine might increase your bench 2% and drop your run times by the same.... with no side effects. I have yet to see a reason not to take it other than vague generalities on the negative aspects of supplements in general.
