however,i AM still trying to cut down.

its hard to bulk up and cut down at the same time.

its OK to breathe bruh:tomato: you look like you got decent size/bulk as it is, i'd start doing less weight/high reps...not being a dick, but for the amount you work out, you dont look too fit:2cents:

ps, and i think he meant turtle from entourage

deltaboxxx 10-06-2008 03:18 PM

^yea,i dont watch those shows so i got em mixed.

and if u were trying to be a dick or not,it was a dick head thing to say.

ive only been in the gym for 3 months since over a year ago. and when i wasnt in the gym i wasnt eating right at all or working out at all.

when flexing, body builders hold their breath, thats why posing is something that takes practice.

I think when he says fit he means less bulky and more cut up like a crosstrainer. But if you're going for the bodybuilder look go for it. It's not "fit" by definition, more like HOOOGE!!!

deltaboxxx 10-07-2008 02:42 PM

^ in that case,okay. lol

im not built to be a x-trainer, im going for bb status.

im going to start cutting down this week because my wife is gone for a month or so (military)
so i cant go to the gym till she gets back,so now im guna start running in my hood, and just doing body weight exercises to maintain as much as possible.

Doom878 10-08-2008 07:51 AM

Careful, you might start getting cut up

deltaboxxx 10-08-2008 02:09 PM

^ i dont get it lol

BackinBlackTL 10-08-2008 02:23 PM

i think me might be referring to my response that you took the way i didnt want you to..haha, either way, stay at it bro, good luck with the running/body weight exercises...also while out of the gym for a month or so, make sure you do ALOT of stretching, mainly to prevent injury on your return back to the gym...

deltaboxxx 10-08-2008 02:58 PM

yah,i really hate to have to take the break because i wanted to do more bulking before i cut,but i dont have much choice.

i have a 2 yr old and no baby sitter, since i am in between careers at the moment.

but sorry i took what u said wrong,no hard feelings i hope.
ill post up when/if i get cut enough.

BackinBlackTL 10-08-2008 03:02 PM

 btw, there are plenty of exercises you can do around your hous to work out various parts of the body...you gotta be real creative, use your bed frame for dips (tris), throw your 2 yr old on your shoulders and do lunges up/down your driveway...hand stand against a wall for shoulder press (every time i do these i can get like 10 in before i pass out and fall:whyme:)...like i said, be creative...

Doom878 10-08-2008 03:20 PM

No weights? Improvise. www.crossfit.com

deltaboxxx 10-08-2008 04:23 PM

i plan to use the park in my back yard...monkey bars for pull ups..these parallel bars for dips, perfect pushup for pushups...etc...i doubt i could shoulder press my own weight.

lunges are going to be tough.

Doom878 10-09-2008 07:55 AM

Throw some sprints in there. Some burpees aka pukies. That site I linked you has some nice workout where you don't need weights. On Monday I did:

5 rounds
10 pullups
20 pushups
30 situps
40 squats
wait 3 mins and repeat for 5 rounds

The beautiful thing about crossfit is that all you need is that playground and a watch to record your progress or know when to switch exercises for timed routines.

It's not ideal but it is completely possible. I've cut while losing no weight but it's hard.
