Removing chrome Window/Door trim

Ive never been a fan of chrome. So I'm looking for some input on the door and window trim if it's possible to remove or if I'm just better off masking it off and painting it or wrapping it. I plan on doing the grill the same. Has anyone ever removed it ?

alright thanks. That's what I figured. I'm not a fan of the chrome. It looks good on a dark colored car but was wondering if it'd look better black

Here's a black ILX with the chromes wrapped in black. It should give you an idea on how it might turn out.
