Rear Licence Plate Light Change
I bought leds for the licence plate light.
Can anybody teach me how to remove the cover of the current light bulb? The owners manual didn't tell me how to do it.

Thank God for everything!
Alienstudio,
First take your license plate off. Insert a small screw driver to the left of the cover, and pull down gently. It should pop right off. Pull the factory bulb off and insert the new led that you purchased. I believe its 168 led. It's a very simple process compared to my 2007 TL type S. Good luck!!

Did you use the 168 LED also? I'm unfamiliar with LED ratings. Are they very bright? I like the cool glow of LED's but I do not want the light to be too much brighter than what is currently above the license plate.

Burning Brakes
An incandescent 168 bulb puts out close to 40-50 lumens. many of the leds on the market have higher lumen output. starting at 100 lumens and up. I have 150 lumen bulbs that are brighter but they aren't obnoxiously brighter either.
I recently found a website that sells the 168 leds super cheap and free shipping. Its called dealextreme.com and just search for "t10"

If you want LED Fogs, just get the right bulb. there will be no issue. I have them in my car. Only way you need a relay, is if you are going to have them come on independently of the headlights.
