Invoice? How long till we can get it...
As the title states, I plan on purchasing the 4G TL but I have no plans on paying a penny over invoice. How long do people estimate till they start moving them at my demand? I ordered my 06 @ invoice in Nov of 05 with many 05's still on the lot. I know it was 2 years after the introduction of the 3rd gen TL, my question is how long did it take people to get an 04 or 05 @ invoice?

Well that depends on how hot the car sells when released. I bout an 04 6 months after theyy were out and most dealers were not giving big discounts. I actually expect the same for the G37 sedan for a few months, so I'll keep my 08 Type-S for a while until I can get a G37 for invoice.

Acura's generally don't have problems getting their cars out. Mostly because they don't produce as much as some other companies. I think usually after 6 months you can get them closer to invoice. not until the next year can you get them really cheap.

A little off topic but I just noticed your signature, you sound like me, except with TLs, I had something similar going on with Maximas and Altimas

I agree, Honda does not whore itself with overcapacity and give-a-away rebates

^Depending on how much gas goes up in the coming months, you may not have to wait too long. I personally couldn't give too much of a damn about gas prices b/c I don't drive as much as I used to, so fuel economy doesn't really affect me much. But I will say that if you go to a big chain-store dealer, a volume retailer, you'll probably not have to negotiate much to get it at a very good price, even if it is a new model.
I remember Kearny Mesa Lexus in San Diego offered me a fully-loaded IS350 back in Jan '06 for several thousand dollars off MSRP (not list) and that was when they had only 1 IS350 left in stock. They could offer me the pricing, even as a would-be first-time customer, only because they had the volume and allocation to get good deals from Lexus.
I'd imagine that the Penske Infiniti dealer could give you the same.
