Bluetooth connection problems

hi guys I am a new 2014 TL elite owner and so far I'm loving it, my only problem is that when I have my phone connected into Bluetooth and I hit the audio button it doesn't allow me to see what's playing or any artist. I have a IPhone 6s Plus. Has anybody had this problem ? Is there a way to change it ? If I'm running old software how do I go about updating it ? Thank you

I think this is a known issue. I have connected an OLD iPod on my 2009 and use iTunes for a playlist to hear music.

So you use a Cord then right? And also how does this work with your Bluetooth like if someone calls you does it ring from the car and are you able to answer it from the car or you just don't bother connecting your phone to the Bluetooth

I keep an OLD iPod in the car all the time. I am using an OLD Android 2 phone. LOL. It's really basic. I have a tech package so I don't need any map services. I hope to move to the 21st century soon but the good thing is that I can't get 'distracted'.
