No First Aid Kits in any Acuras?

I know this is a minor detail, but just wondered why Acura doesn't put First Aid kits in any of their Acuras. I know Mercedes, Audi, BMW, Lexus, and Infiniti put first aid kits in their cars. I was just assuming most of the luxury car companies provide that. How cheap can Honda/Acura be?

My dealer does give me one first aid kit, a small touch up paint and an oil change coupon.

It's Sears, Roebuck, not Saks Fifth Avenue, but then so's the price. $26k vs. $40k. If Honda's accountants were going to let them spend a few more $$ per unit, my first choice would have to be the heated mirrors that our neighbors to the Frozen North get on their TSXs, and second choice would be the headlight washers. A first-aid kid would be down on my list somewhere near the balloon and the cookies that the Acura dealer actually sent me.

My Volvo, my Saabs and my Porsche didn't have first-aid kits, either. If it bothers you, go to Wal-Mart, buy one for $10 and toss it in the trunk.

i only meant that acura is one of the only luxury brand car companies that doesn't include a first aid kit in any of their cars. yeah i'd rather have heated mirrors and memory seats instead of a first aid kit too.

I had to buy first aid kits for my cars at Costco. I have the first aid pouch under the passenger seat in my TSX.

Why is there a need for a first aid kit?

If you're involved in an accident, I seriously doubt a couple of band-aids will help. That is what Acura road-side assistance is for.

Also, keep in mind that whatever money they spend on "extras" is reflected back onto the price of the car. Even though a kit may seem cheap, they also have to get a supplier and all that paperwork is a big mess.

I'd rather have them include a TOOL KIT.

(Yeah I know, you can buy one for 10 bucks. And I did.)

Seriously... what a waste of money. After you get smashed up... are you really going to have the presence of mind to get out your first aid kit and begin bandaging yourself. Here's an idea... call 911 instead.

You didn't get the naked girls? You should get in touch with your dealer right away. Don't let them get away holding out on you like that. They're probably keeping them for themselves. I had to return mine to stay married but the pool is scheduled for construction first week of February. No stocked bar here either.

you get what you paid for...but a first aid kit does come in handy..i've used mine a couple of times...minor cuts...used the iodine, bandaid and gauze in the kit... it costs next to nothing to put in the car anyways... but i guess its not to be expected in a econobrand

While on the subject of first aid kits...

What kind of emergency equipment are you guys carrying in your TSX?

I'm only on my 5th day of ownership, so all I've got is a beach towel for drying my hair right now, but I've got the following on the list:

First aid kit, jumper cables, blanket, waterproof tarp (for the lovely Pacific northwest weather), heavy duty rope.

Possible things to add (ie. if I really wanna go overboard):

Road flares, tool kit (no idea why), wood boards (for mud), light duty shovel.

Any additions, subtractions (most likely) to either of the lists? I apologize for putting a serious damper on the thread.

Thanks!

Another way to look at it is if costs you $10 to buy, it would only cost Acura ~$5 to throw in their cars. Which I think is a pretty cheap price for the bit of luxury it conveys. Is this something Honda is getting wrong?
