My Console Light is Burning Hot
I just replaced my center console light, the one for the compartment below the radio. After driving for half hour the plastic housing for the light is literally burning hot to the touch. Is this normal for anyone else?
My light burnt out 1 year ago and i never bothered replacing it so i can't remember if this is normal. But when i say its hot i mean like dangerous hot where something could melt or catch fire. Can anyone check their storage compartment and tell me if its extremely hot to the touch? Thanks

This bulb is directly from the dealership. He looked up the correct part number for an 04 tsx and i purchased it. So i'm asking other tsx owners if their bulb gets hot too or is something weird going on here.

Well i don't know what to do about it. Maybe thats why it burnt out a year ago in the first place. But an led bulb is a simple technology with simple wiring. So there really isn't any fix that can be done. And the dealership will be useless i'm sure.

Well maybe i exaggerated slightly. Its just very very hot to the touch, and i didn't know if this was normal. But it sounds like maybe it is rather normal. It was strange that the original bulb burnt out in the first place.
