fitting stock navi in a non-navi TSX
First i would like to find out if it's possible to fit the factory navi unit (i know it's the whole centre dash) into a non-navi tsx (in terms of plugs and whatnot (will the steering wheel controls work) I don't really care about the voice activation but it would be kinda cool
secondly... where could i find the unit (i think i saw one on ebay a while back) but if you guys know someone selling let me know
and how difficult would it be to install the GPS wires and whatnot... or would it be easier to use the factory screen and attach aftermarket unit to it (in terms of price and being able to us it for more than just a navi ie. TV, DVD etc. )

Here's a thread already started on this topic and there is some more information in the Audio and Electronics on this forum.

You would almost never get the stock navi to work in a non-navi car, there is just to many pieces byond the screen and dvd to mess with. Just get a good aftermarket system, if you want the saem 'feel', get an Alpine Navi system.

lol why would i be jealous? I didn't spent $2000 on a Navi was because it was just a waste of money for me. And aftermarket navis are definitly better than stock once if compare the functions and the price of both. The only aftermarket navi disadvantage is that you won't be able to install it onto the center console.

I was about to point that out - I've seen aftermarket navi kits for more than the Acura's asking price, and the screen is nowhere near as large, which IMO is the biggest plus for the Acura system.
