YES! Just checking in! I am in city traffic every day so I don't regret getting the 5AT, and I am glad that I got the Navi too!

sitting in Boston traffic doesn't help convince me that I need to either.

I drove manual since i was 16 till i was 27.. then i got my 5AT. my left foot is a bit bored now.. but I still change gears on my own every time. Unless i'm on the phone or have the girly in the passenger seat .
I sometimes miss being able to control the car with the clutch.. but i'm not too disappointed with the level of control the manumatic gives me.

Me too! Me too!
I gotta say, I was VERY, VERY torn between the 6MT and the 5AT - especially that I love driving stick, and I know how much better control you have with a manual.
But, after having my 5AT for 4 months now, I have to say that I don't regret my decision. The shifts are sooooo smooth and I still can't believe how responsive the shifts are! The SportShift mode is very, very close to driving a stick, without a clutch.
Definitely lovin' it.

My choice was easy, there were ONLY 2 TSX'S in Arizona when i bought mine, and they were both auto. one silver, one carbon grey. I took the carbon grey.
i love knowing that i was the first to have one, but sometimes i wish i had waited untill the 6sp came out....about 2 months later.
so, heres to you acura of Arizona....

Count me in! I got the Navi so I would never get lost in D.C. again! I got the A/T because I dont like distractions while driving. I like having the free hand to dial phone, play with navi, play with the temperature, etc.

Looking at the '15 TLX
5AT/Navi here. California traffic can be a killer otherwise - besides I still have sports shift for when I want to play on the few backroads we have left here.

I'll be picking mine up in March. I've driven an MT for 13 out of the last 15 years, including the last 7, so I know it's going to be very hard to get used to the AT. I got the AT mostly because of the wife, but I'm kinda looking forward to not having to shift all the time, especially when I'm drinking my coffee or playing with the NAV. And with the SportShift, I can shift when I feel like it.
Needless to say, the wait is KILLING ME!

YO!!!!
Drove a stick since I was 17 with my bro's '86 CRX!!!!! Then my '91 Integra! Now that I'm 30, I don't miss stick all too much. Once in a while I'll have that urge to shift gears but it's not that too often.
Brutus, it didn't take me all that long to get used to an AT again. It took an entire 10 seconds!!!

Never successfully learned to drive a manual, but I left foot brake for no special reason (maybe cuz I'm ambidexterous). Love my nav...it's shown me several shortcuts during gridlock traffic.
But when I sat in the new TL... sigh...I like all the "toys" in it (radio, bluetooth, etc.)

add another here!
I had three prior manuals (Prelude, Accord, Vigor) and I'm taking a break. No regrets what so ever... appreciate my 5AT during my daily commute, long trips, and occasional drive to NYC.

I am here I own an 5at/navi, but am i the only one here who is annoyed that when you put the navi in setup and choose "auto" for brightness it doesn't switch to dark at night automatically, and when you do press night, you have to manually switch it back to day option during the day? My uncles has an Mdx with a navi and it automatically brightens and dims at night and during the day on "auto" feature.

Brutus, where did you get your TSX? I'm picking mine up tomorrow at Acura Columbus on 161. I have a 5AT but no navi...so I guess I don't count towards your thread...mebbe we could have a poll? =D

The auto feature will brighten/dim automatically unless you have the gauge brightness set to max. Turn it down just one notch.

With over 30 years driving experience, I've got about 60/40 split on AT/MT.
I really didn't consider the 6MT. The performance differance wasn't important to me.
I originally didn't want the Navi, but there was a car already on the boat that had my exact configuration, but with Nav. Otherwise I would have to wait 8-10 weeks longer. So, the final decision was $2K or 60+ days. At the time, I had more money than patience.
In the 2 months since, I've enjoyed the Navi system. I was working in Boston, and that is one hard city to drive around. With the Nav, I at least found my destinations.
I'd say it's very much worth it, if you're going to spend a good amount of time in unfamiliar places.

hsyu,
I ordered my TSX from Lindsay Acura. I tried Acura Columbus first, but they only wanted to give me 50% of the blue book value for my trade-in. Lindsay gave me 95%, and I can live with that. I just wasn't impressed with the experience I had at Acura Columbus. From what I could tell, they're all a bunch of jerks. What was your experience like? Did you have a trade-in?

just wondered for all who own the navi, do you put it on the male or female voice? i love the voice of women, but don't u think the female voice is too computerized sound to it still, while the male voice sounds more human?
