So long Acura!

After I totaled my RL, I've decided to join the German crowd. This car has always been one of my favorite so now is the perfect time for one. Don't worry, I'll still visit this forum. Onto the pics......

I don't blame you. It's been one of my favorites for a long time as well... especially those in a wagon.

Great choice!! Very reliable that year (and model). Unfortunately my 08 M5 has been nothing but problems. Cheers to you!

Thanks guys! It was a one-owner vehicle that had every recommended maintenance done at a BMW dealer so hopefully it will give me years of enjoyment!

Since taking ownership, have put on roughly 6K+ miles and no problems thus far (knock on woods) besides the infamous P0171 and P0174 codes. Cleaned the MAF sensor and haven't reappeared since then.

No pictures of the Acura?!? I'm sorry to hear you were in an accident. Hey, at least you get a car with HIDs? I've always been jealous of BMWs headlights. Some of the newer ones, with the 4 pure white halos as driving lights, especially on a all white/black car just look GORGEOUS! What are the people like at the BMW forums?

Well, anyway, I hope you enjoy your BMW, be sure to check in with how expensive cost of ownership is! I have always thought that a 10 year old or so 7-series would be pretty cool...

I used to drool all the time when I see those nice angel eyes but unfortunately, mine is too old to have them. I might retro them though. Regarding the people at the bimmers forums, i may need to take it to PM, hahaha!
Here's a pic of my totaled RL:

How the heck is that considered totaled? Just put some new headlights, a new number, and radiator (if needed) and your good to go. Damn you insurance!

Is it still yours? You could get some money and part it out! (hint, hint, I need a couple parts!)

Man, that's the worst. That sucks that you lost your retrofit gear, too.

A good reminder to always expect the unexpected, and maybe slow it down, too. (not that I'm criticizing your driving because it sounds like you absolutely had no way of avoiding it; just something for us other drivers to keep in mind.)
