'87 RL with squeeking front lower ball joint
Has anyone had a ball joint start squeeking? The way it's designed, it's almost impossibly to lubricate it because the post comes out the bottom.
Wondering how much trouble it is to replace it.

I’m not a mechanic but I was able to replace the ball joint myself on mine. Only took a few hours. You can rent a ball joint press from your local autozone for free. They’ll charge you a few hundred bucks for it but you’ll get the money back when you return the press. Just look up a YouTube video. It’s essentially the same on just about every vehicle
