If you had to do it again, would you buy an RDX?

In a heartbeat! I'm coming up on my one-year anniversary and I LOVE my RDX. It's a blast to drive, especially with the turbo and tighter suspension (I came from an MDX), yet still has the utility of an SUV. My wife's car is a Cadillac CTS but we usually take my car because I enjoy driving it more.

I would probably go for another make for a compact SUV. The Audi Q5 is a real looker and good performance overall. The Rover Evoque is a real nice SUV, with small turbo and direct injection.

Here in Canada, we can get the base model starting at $46K. By the time you add the necessary options, ~ $51K. But it is a land rover, and not an acura. I know, some might say, a vehicle is a vehicle, but we are in the real world, and the Land Rover badge carries a heavier status weight than Acura.

The best feature of the Evoque is the off road capabilities. The RDX, Q5, X3 or Lexus RX could not keep up with the Evoque off road. Unfortunately, these types of “Cute Utes” will never see any serious off road duty. That is why I love the RDX performance sh-awd system.
I think the Evoque is a beautiful looking CUV; but, priced $10,000 too high. I’ve never seen a Land Rover that hasn’t spent more time in the mechanic’s garage compared to your own garage after a few years.
I will give the Evoque about 2 years to see if it is a contender or a pretender.

This is an interesting thread. I would absolutely buy the RDX again. I've had mine for 4 years (44,000 miles) and loved every mile and day of it. And with what I've seen of the 2013 I'm really liking the new design. I believe it's the best money can buy at that range.

Off-road in this CUV class is mom jumping a curb to beat that haughty Mercedes lady to a parking space at Nordstrom's.

The X3 is the king of its class despite its somewhat challenged looks. I'd buy an X3 6-cyl turbo for $51K long before paying for an Evoque lol. It has the same engine as the new Ford Escape.

I enjoy my rdx, but I don't think I will buy another Acura or rdx. I don't like the manufacturer attitudes in customer service. Customer service is the most important attribute to the purchase of a car.

I like my RDX, especially coming from an IS250 AWD...i recently had to move and the RDX helped a lot...however if i had to it it all over again, i would have gotten an MDX or a Subaru Forester...
