DRL Mod, Parking Lamp LEDs

I had enough of the highbeam DRL. This is what the factory should have done, though in 2008 LEDs were not so common.
(Sorry for the poor video. I will shoot it in HD next weekend.)
This mod is totally revesable in 10 minutes. NO factory wires were cut. I could have used the incandescent amber bulbs but I wanted white LED DRLs.
I used:
Switchback LEDs
Male sockets from eBay
Female OEM sockets from junkyard
Diodes
Load resistors
Relay
Fuse tap

I will post more details if some are interested.

Agreed, I would love to try something like this in the car. Very modern touch to a car whose design is basically a decade old now, but still has many years of life left.

Nice mod. I almost went the same route but instead I changed the high beams out with 3000k bulbs and put switchback leds in. So during the day it is yellow for the daytime running lights and led white for the park lights. I will run the fog lights to work with the drl so it stays on all the time

Found these online any thoughts? How would I disable the stock drl's when these are installed but still allow the high beams to work?

What happens to the signal lights? Now you have white "always-on" signals. Does this mean you no longer have signal lights in the front?

its more than just pulling the DRL fuse.. if youre high beams are on your low beams are off. so he ended up changing something in the wiring too
