Cheap fix for cracked lock nut on fuel tank/pump assembly
I got a new Deatschwerks 300c fuel pump and just got it installed. Well as I was on the last step putting on the lock nut to seal the gas tank, the plastic cracked all the way down. Thankfully it is on there and holding a seal for the moment but need to get it replaced asap. I went to the Acura dealership to see if I could get a replacement part. Got part number 17046-STK-A00 with a price tag of $127. That is way too much and I was able to find online for around $75 which is better but still outrageous for a generic round piece of plastic.
Does anyone have a cheap solution to this? I don't mind if this part isn't made by Honda. I just need a round threaded piece of plastic to screw on.
