Question How much more does it co$t to maintain a nsx than say TL?

Can you guys help clear this up for me and shed some insight from your own personal experience?

Where do the costs come from? Some people may say o that car is expensive to keep on the road? Not saying there wont be some extra spending for example performance tires cost more than all year tires for again say a acura TL.

What else? Is it really that much more expensive than maintaince on your typical luxery sedan?

A car that you drive only half the year (depending on your location/climate)

How much is an oil change at the dealership etc?

basic maintenance is same as any other honda. timing/belt water pump is pretty expensive though.

I would assume brakes, oil changes and general maintenance are all the same.

I don't see it being any more difficult, like the one guy said, they timing belt service may be the most expensive. Take care of it and you'll be good.

oil change - $60 - $80; depends on whether you like to change it or use a shop and synthetic vs standard oil

brake pads(per wheel) - $90 - $300 oem to track setup
brake rotors(per wheel) - $100 - $XXX oem to track setup

timing belt/water pump - $2000 - $3000 - depends on shop/labor/parts costs

clutch - $2000 - $3000 - depends on shop/labor/parts cost

If you buying a used 91-01 NSX, expect to spend 3k-5k for maintain and repair in the first year. Check out NSXPrime

Then there is the big difference in Mods, Quality high end parts will set you back a pretty penny for an NSX compared to most other Hondas and Acuras...

Not all parts are discontinued. Timing belt/water pump, Valve adjustments, and new dampener(harmonic balancer) set me back $1800 Its not bad at all. If you can afford a maintenance on a TL then you should be able to handle the NSX.
