A co-worker of mine, just told me he saw this thing outside Ono Hawaiian BBQ on Colima in City of Industry/Puente Hills;

Sorry, he's not an Aziner & didnt realized this car never or hasn't released, so no pics. He said it was fully finished in black, had a car-bra and sounded like a ferrari. An Asian couple climbed in and took off.

"UPDATE: Acura spokesman Gary Robinson has gotten back to us. Here's what he had to say:
As you may know, Acura has been in the Marvel Comics Universe films as the official car of their fictional law enforcement agency called S.H.I.E.L.D. That relationship continues for The Avengers.
The open-top sports car that was photographed yesterday is a one-off, fictional car that was made just for the movie and will not be produced.
That said, as you may also know, our CEO has said publicly that we are studying the development of a new sportscar, but we can't say any more about it at this time."

I have a hard time believing that.
Acura would have to build such a car, pay for it to be on a summer action film seen by well over 100 million people worldwide and all the associated marketing just for a "one-off" car that will not be produced.
In addition, an Acura dealership gets destroyed in this film...
To me it sounds like Honda might finally push for the Acura brand to branch out and make a debut in additional countries with a halo car at the forefront of the campaign.

hybrid vehicle
Did anyone catch the sentence where the writer stated Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner were standing next to a hybrid vehicle? That is clearly the TL shield edition; could it be a hybrid drive train, a writer not knowing what they are talking about or using the word hybrid to describe a put together vehicle? The world will never know!
