head swap?

on another car forum im on. there is a member selling a h23 complete head swap. says it will fit the f series blocks. would it help any putting it on a f23a1?

Basically it turns your single cam into a dual cam. It will fit, and it does add power...when you do it right. There is a whole lot more work involved than just bolting it up, I think this is called a g23? If you search, you shoud find some threads on it.

i did lots and lots of research into the g22/g23. its a very grey area, u can find all kinds of information on it. but most of it contradicts wat u just read on another page. good luck

It CAN be decent, there's just a lot of room for error and a large amount of tylenol will more than likely be needed. Here's the write up for it in case you havn't seen it:

All in all, I personally think either the H22 swap (such as these gents suggested) or going the turbo route is both easier and better.

silver97CL went through it, and i tried it after seeing his mistakes and still came across alot of issues. If you can somehow get it right, g23 turbo is good for a good 300+ HP on a stock block. It'll take alot of money and time though
