Got the rear camera installed and the wire fished into the trunk. I ended up removing the tail light to fish the wire through. Used fish tape to make it easier.
I got the wire fished down to the license plate area. I pulled the slack back up into the bumper after hooking everything up and getting it mounted.
And here's the camera installed above the license plate and license plate frame, nice and stealthy.

Got the rest of the radio wires routed and installed and got the whole interior put back together.
It was nice getting everything wrapped up and back together
Then after 3 years of sitting I finally got the car inspected and legal again
My buddy said the brakes and rotors are still good, I've had them on for close to a decade I believe.
And it felt great getting back behind the wheel and driving this thing.
Funny story, I haven't had this car on the road much in 3 years, but a guy that my buddy works with who I've never met before knew my CL and recognized it. He asked me if I've owned the car for a long time, I said yes 16 years. He said, dude I remember this car, you don't see CL's on the road that look like this. Pretty cool that he remembered my car and had seen it on the road before

Got the car aligned for the first time since I lowered it in like 2005. Car drove straight but definitely was putting a hurting on tires. Car drives like a brand new car now

Drove the car to work for the first time in a few years, took it and had my buddy change the oil at lunch time. The oil wasn't that dirty, but hadn't been changed in like 3 years so definitely was due.
Still brings a smile to my face walking out and seeing this car sitting in the sun

Finally Fixed the Bumper!
I finally got an opportunity to sneak my bumper into the paint queue at work, here are some pics of how it turned out. The replacement bumper was a great deal at $180, and matches the front better than the "autumn leaf scoop" bumper that was duct-taped to her ass for far too long.
This bumper was bad when I bought the car, and didn't get any better along the way...
When I detail the car, I'm going to apply Back to Black on all the plastic lower trim.
Soon, the return of classy, stock appearance.
A previous owner opted for a cheap end panel repair, so the bumper sits a little bit off. That's a project for another day. Next up is a detail and adjusting the trunk so it seals this winter.

gotcha.
I had my brembo rotors and new brake pads mailed to me a few days ago. I will be painting my calipers black... I'm going to start ordering the essentials for my h22 swap soon, business is a lot better in the winter so I get more $$. I'm gonna get my mounts, all the other bits and pieces not included in the swap kit and ecu business down, then save up for the whole package from hmotors online... My mechanic said he would do the swap for $600. After he installs it and has it running well i'm going to go to a tuning shop. I know "drop that bitch..." I'll worry about that after I get power, so people can talk ish with their jaws dropped.

1999 2.3 with 183,000 Miles. Just drove it home from NC yesterday, ran strong.
Wheels are in crap condition but everything else is pretty solid. Just one paint bubble over the passenger side rear qp.
If this corona crap blows over, I'll start wasting money on it.

I just bought mine three weeks ago, I think we're twins! (mine's also a 99 2.3, same wheels, and same color!)

1998 2.3 CL Project
My current project is a auction car. Had locksmith cut keys and program them and the car would turn over but, wouldn't start so it sat for two years. After getting some free time I got back around to looking at the issue. Figured out it was the immobilizer and tested it by removing the immobilizer chip from the ECU and the car started right up. I have another ECU on the way and will have to get it reset for this car and see if the RF reader at the ignition is defective. Since I got it running, for the moment, I have replaced all the dry rotted tires, picture has the spare on. Will have to get the brakes done, replace headlight bulbs, fix the turn signals, and the ECU resolved so it can pass inspection. The passenger window won't roll down and I need to put the dash panels back on. Still have the other normal maintenance things to do: oil, wiper blades, belts, other fluids, etc... This car won't win any beauty contests but, I do plan on making it a daily driver to get me to work and back.

Got the over heating issue resolved. The thermostat was pretty bad when I pulled out out. Next up is brakes, new headlight bulbs, then to the dealer to get the replacement ECU and keys programmed for this car. After that it's time for state inspection.

Now that I finally had some time the car is running again and finally have almost all of the coolant hoses replaced since they started leaking one after the other. AC only needed to be topped off and is working well so far. Will have to wait a little longer to get it road legal due to work commitments.
