Operating Logic for the Electric Parking Brake (EPB) Feature

Operating Logic for the Electric Parking Brake (EPB) Feature:

When the driver is wearing their seatbelt, the electric parking brake (EPB) automatically releases when the accelerator pedal is pressed and the transmission is in drive or reverse.

However, if the driver is not wearing their seatbelt, the electric parking brake (EPB) does not release until you push the electric parking brake (EPB) switch in the center console.

This information is also found in the 2015 TLX owner's guide (page 81) and 2015 TLX owner's manual (page 396-398).
