Is this for the tlx too? How is it possible that is plug and play? No need to modify wires etc?

I'm interested. I have a TLX V6 base, and I think you're saying it would work with that?

Taking it a bit further, I'd be interested in plugging a Samsung Allshare into the HDMI input and streaming wirelessly to the allshare into the display. I'd have to power the allshare but I'm sure it's a DC device anyway so it's a matter of transforming up or down as necessary.

Hmm. How much of the dash do you have to rip out to install the harness?

How will the user select to use the top monitor for video input vs its normal functions?

Not to be a total rube - but where do you plug it in - is there some sort of dis-assembly that needs to take place first in the car? Do you have photos of it in action?

Gracias.

What would be involved in hooking up the system to use the front and side mount cameras? Would we have to find the wires somewhere in the harness and tap into them or is this also part of the "plug and play" functionality?

Thanks

Hi

you will need to install front and side cameras, and run those wires upto NavTool interface, NavTool wil take care of the rest

The base TLX does not have navigation button. I saw the RDX video and you guys used the cancel button there. Will it work the same?

Wouldn't everyone buying this have a NON nav car?

I am confused on how this works. I really want to see a TLX/MDX tutorial video ASAP as I want to buy it, if it works as I think it should. I just don't want to have to do a rain dance on top of a tall building while tip toeing in the rain to get features that should be seamless to work right.

it would be for both, many people like apps they have on their smartphone and want to use this instead factory nav.

this is mirroring device, meaning you will see on your navigation screen exactly same thing you see on your smartphone, it creates a 100% mirrored image

Can the aspect ratio be changed to landscape to fill the screen? Does it follow the iPhone or locked to Landscape.

So with Siri Hands Free... I can control the iPhone. To Mirror the iPhone I have to have it connected via HDMI. Once connected via the cable it will display whatever is on the phone. Where does the iPhone Audio go?

hi

it follows iphone direction.

to mirror iphone you have to connect it via hdmi.

the audio and video from iphone travels via hdmi to navtool, from navtool video is displayed on the screen and audio from navtool connects to vehicles aux audio jack

Hey guys not to put a dimmer on smartphone mirroring hopefuls out there but be sure to check Navtool's site. I was up front when Navtool "started" offering this module as soon as I got my TLX a year ago and they just kept giving me the round around about when it would be completed even after they charged my credit card. They've been around the block based on threads that mentions these guys for a few years now but I have serious doubts about their manufacturing much less that their "made in the USA" claims. Nonetheless it took quite a pull (and Amex's help) to get my money back and I'm not about to repeat that mistake until I see a working prototype. Just my 2c.

I'm kind of on the fence. Plus it is Christmas time and I have already spend too much. If I new more about the install and saw it in action I might go for it.

How did it come to pass that they charged your card? Hey are asking for interest and they haven't asked for payment yet, to my knowledge. I'm in the list and haven't been asked for anything but interest.

I was charged off the moment I made the order. That was a year ago and in the process of 6 months I got the run around. Look all I'm saying is don't provide anything until you see a running product.
