2019 A-Spec

Does anyone have the black Alcantara seats and inserts? How is it holding up? Trying to decide between red leather and black Alacantara

13 months and 12,000 miles later no visible signs of wear. Been holding up fine for me.

I'm also concerned about clean up. Is it okay if it gets wet? I sometimes take my kids to/from soccer matches. Is it easy to clean?

That I can't comment much on. KIds haven't spilled anything beyond a little water and it was just a quick wipe with a paper towel to clean up. Now that I've said that, they'll spill a 2 liter tomorrow. Other than that, I haven't had to clean up much on them beyond vacumming crumbs which I think seem to show more on Alcantara than straight leather.

Also 13 months and about 16,000 miles in on mine. I have black leather/alcantara and the inserts still look brand new. The left bottom seat bolster has started to show creases but that is probably caused by the way I get into my car.

The only time my seat got dirty was from a leaking takeout bag which spilled onto the back passenger seats. A little soap and towel cleaned up the mess fairly easily with no permanent visible stains.

On another note, I thought the A Spec had remote start but based on the brochure it doesn't look like it does. This is important in FL

Yeah, pretty dumb. Even the Civic get that by default. Might have luck negotiating it in. Unless you're looking for a 4cyl Aspec you should also check out the '18 ASpecs if they're still on lots. You could probably get a crazy deal on them.

I have remote start on my 2018 aspec (Canadian Elite) not sure what that equates to in the US model line I think they call it Advance.... 20,000 Klm (or 12,500 miles) and the alcantara seats are great. It was a demo and the dealer who drove it had kids and there were milk? stains in the back under the folding armrest that the prep guys missed. I just wiped/scrubbed it with a damp cloth - all good

Red Leather all,day long, a beautiful look. I was reluctant at first, but I love the seats. The alcantara to me felt restricted vs. the easily slide in and out of our leather.

I was hoping the red leather would be more towards maroon than bright red. Still considering Alcantara because I'm in Florida and sometimes the leather gets brutally hot. I have espresso leather right now.

8 months w/ 4k and no signs of wear. I've had alcantara leather on my bmw's with 2 toddlers and had no issues with spills. Just wipe off with microfiber and with stains use warm water with a little ph balanced soap. Also, used a brush (i believe it's made out of horse hair) after a good cleaning.
