Its spy shots but who cares, from the looks of it they seem to be evolving the the 4G which is not what I had hoped for.

That's disappointing. I had my hopes up that things would return back to the 3G size and look.
Acura could save some money if they slightly alter the TSX body, add LED headlights, add back the v6 option, revamped the interior, add SHAWD, and add some electronic goodies and called that the TLX. Why do they have to makes this so hard? I would buy such a car to replace my 3G and it would fit in my garage as well.

Acura has fallen off. If you look at the ATS, and the Germans, Honda has not been able to keep up.
I love my 3G, but if I were shopping at the TL pricepoint today, I would go for the Caddy.

As much as it sucks, I don't think we will see another sporty TL anywhere in the near future.
Acura is a business and like all businesses increasing their bottom line is the most important thing to them.
There are less of a us that desire a sportier TL than there are that desire a luxurious midsize family sedan. Our segment is not big enough for them to be as profitable as they are currently.

Make it so
This just reinforces the reality that when my 2004 TL dies, I'm just going to get another 3G. Acura keeps trying to reinvent the wheel, and they look back at the 3G TL and TSX with nostalgia instead of inspiration for how to regain interest and market share. With every successive design and marketing failure, they think the solution is to throw the new stuff away and come up with something brand new. They are digging themselves into a deeper and deeper hole every year.
The 3G TL still turns heads almost a decade after it was introduced. Give me a 5G TL that keeps the same look of the 3G (literally) with updated components and I will pay that car's weight in gold.
Not that it would ever happen, but a fella can dream, right?

As for the spy shots, those aren't new pics, infact those have been out for a long time now. Very disappointing that its similar to the 4G body style which IMO is anything but sweet.

The 3G TL was their best selling, the MDX is their best selling now.
I finally saw an RLX on the road a few days ago, didn't look that bad in person TBH, nothing super special but not bad either. I like the LED headlights.

Three Wheelin'
These are the sales figures for the TL thus far:
MDX:
TSX:
--------------------------------------------
So perhaps what JJH has states isn't completely false. Back in 2009, the 4G TL was indeed Acura's best selling car, but I wouldn't say that the 4G TL is Acura's best selling car ever.

Well we dont know the features and the body work or design of it. For all we know we might fall in love with whats under those covers. But then again we dont know. By the looks of it, it does have the similar body type as the rlx. I guess all we can do is wait til it finally gets out

US Navy Seabees
Its should be pretty obvious by now that the TLX is going to pretty much be similar in size to the current 4G with the newer style ILX/RLX taillights, Jewel Eyes, SH-AWD and Earth Dreams 3.5L engine. Its probably not going to be all that sporty although Acura will try to shove it down everyone's throats like they do with the ILX.

The most common new car I see on the roads nowadays is the 2013 Accord. I'm seeing them practically everywhere.

you think that acura would do a bit of reading on this forum since this a website based on thier consumers but no. I thought the 4G TL was hideous. What ever car that is in the picture above look like a 2007 toyota camry. There would be nothing wrong with taking the design of the best selling 3G TL and modernizing it. It is not like BMW lost consumers because they didn't change the kidney grille.
