No real updates yet, sorry Ant. We're still trying!

I had joined a couple FaceBook pages to post the pre-order in, but the "Excelerate Craig" account keeps getting flagged and locked for security reasons since it's not my personal account. I explained the circumstances to FB through the support ticket, and all was well for 2 days. Now we're back to getting locked out every time I sign on. Trying to get it straightened out for good before I jump ship on that and re-post and re-join everything with my personal account.

I'll you know what comes of it. If you can think of anyone else in the meantime feel free to send them our way!

Hey guys,

It's been crazy down here between the holidays and the snow storms, and since I'm the only person to monitor the forums they're not always the easiest to get to (that's why I had left my email), but regardless, we are going into the new year with some good news...

We're in the process of nailing down production timelines with the factory right now, but the pulleys are a go as of yesterday!

As some of you may know when we started this the idea was to take payments once we had 10 people who were legitimately interested, this way we didn't end up holding onto money for months, and we could get the ball rolling sooner rather then later - unfortunately that didn't end up working out as planned. With that being said I would just like to apologize to everyone for the lengthy process, and I would also like to thank everyone for their patience.

I will update the thread with a timeline as soon as we have it, which should be some time early next week.

If there are questions before then please feel free to reach out! I hope everyone had a good holiday season!

-Craig

Hi AZ,

So we spoke to the guys at UR and production will be about 5 weeks (+/- a week).

They have the shop broken down for cleaning for this week, so sometime next they will be getting everything back together. Once the machines are back in place they need to wrap up a few outstanding jobs they had prior to our order being submitted, then they can setup their machines for the new alternator pulleys! Once the pulleys have gone through the final stages of production everything will get boxed up and sent to it's new home!

I would just like to remind everyone this is a new piece, so the actual production times are a bit longer than the already existing pulleys. There is retooling that needs to be done, along with some development. This ensures you end up with the best product possible.

I'll update everyone as we hear from them, and if anyone has any questions in the meantime you can leave them here, or reach out to us via email at performance@excelerateperformance.com for a faster response.

Regards,

Craig

Craig,

Just as an FYI, this is not an entirely new piece. UR actually made a small batch (6) of these a few years ago. Nevertheless, the stated production time of 5 weeks is reasonable. I can't wait!!

What Lightweight Crank Pulley should i use to match with this pulley?
Does Xlr8 make one?

Also, I spoke to them and they should be ready in 2 weeks.

We do make a light weight crank pulley for this car, you can see it on our site here: PUL-J32/35 - XLR8 Aluminum Pulleys - Excelerate Performance - European, Exotic and Japanese Performance Specialists!!

As far as the production update goes, SHMaster is correct, I had spoken to UR this morning and they said we should still be good to go for the end of the month!

Thanks guys!

I have that same light weight stock diameter crank pulley. I recommend it. Can't wait to get this pulley to match the rest.

Hey guys,

I got an update from UR again today, this is what they said:

"Production's timeline has them finishing all of the pieces early next week. After deburring, inspection and packaging they should be ready to go next week."

So close now!

I haven't talked to UR yet this week, but we did get another email from them last week on Friday (3/2/18). They said they should still be able to get them out of production early this week, and sent out a little later in the week!

It's still early so I don't have any updates yet, but if I don't have anything tomorrow I'll follow up!

Hey guys,

Just wanted to update everyone with some good news...

The pulleys went out this week and I checked everyone's tracking info this afternoon. Saturday is the estimated delivery date for everyone who pre-ordered!

Look forward to seeing everyone's install pictures!

Happy modding,

Craig

Just wondering but is anyone else getting a "low battery" message after installing the lightweight alternator pulley? My dealer has checked/tested everything (including the TSB for issues like this) but the message won't go away and they say it's due to the pulley.

Hey Nitin,

Are you still having issues with the alternator pulley? If so please send me an email to craig@excelerateperformance.com so we can get it straightened out for you!

Your case seems to be the only one so far (no others on the thread and nothing direct in my email) so I can't imagine it would be something too complicated.

Please do let me know either way however!

Regards,

Craig

Hi Craig, thank you but I replaced the battery a few weeks ago with a new one and that seems to have fixed the issue as I no longer get that message. Not sure why the dealer was telling me originally that everything checked out fine with the battery and alternator.
