Toronto Photoshoot Before Winter
Hey guys, trying to set up a Toronto meet here before winter rolls in. Anybody interested in a meet and greet, and taking some pics?
I'm open to dates and locations, but ideally it'd be a Sunday afternoon-evening thing in early to mid-November, unless you guys wanna do Halloween.
Tentative dates are the 7th and 14th of November, with a 4:00-4:30 start so we can get some good pics in before it gets too dark or cold.
I'm also open to locations.
Last time we did this was last November at Downsview Park. It was a great time to meet new enthusiasts but it wasn't really a juicy location as far as photos go.
I was thinking a beach location would be pretty cool as well. It'd make for a great backdrop and if we're lucky to snag the sunset in the background, well the photos would turn out pretty cool. It's hard to find a good parking lot right up against the beach though. We could go to Cherry Beach, which has a dirt lot against the beach, but there's an island right across from it. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, I don't know, but it's also got a small roundabout which could also be used as a photo location. There are also a lot of nice wide roads that could be used for rolling shots, and a nearby soccer field if anyone's interested in kicking around a ball afterwards (it's a lighted field).
Another possibility would be an underground garage location. The benefits to this are heat, if we're lucky, and we don't have to worry about sunlight. It would also make for a great photo location. I know a lot of you guys are out west so I think Square One would be the best option if we were to do this, if you know of any place better let me know.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I know there are plenty of Toronto guys, so try to make it! I hope it's not hard to squeeze in a Sunday night thing.

Never a bad idea to meet other enthusiasts.
The Cherry Beach Location and dirt road sounds like i will be cleaning my ride for days after - LOL.
As to the square one location - just be advised that Square 1 Security will likely be all over us after the Malls closing hour. But there is plenty of parking just outside the road that surrounds SQ 1 that we could move to after.

Good point about the dirt road, never makes for clean cars. So I guess Sq1 for now, and if security gives us a hassle we'll just move over a little bit.
And gnuts, your car still looks pretty good with stock rims. Come out anyways!

It doesn't get dark THAT early, but I see your point. We'll split the difference and say 4:00. Still leaves us with plenty of light.
I'm not as familiar with Sq 1 as most of you are, but it's a pretty big mall. Any ideas on exactly where we should meet up?

Let's meet in front of The Bay, off City Centre Drive. We'll try to get some day shots out there, and maybe some night shots with streetlights, etc. There's a parking garage right next to The Bay that we'll move to and get some garage pics, maybe even rolling shots.
