Tires?

so most of you V6 guys have to deal with FWD tires spinning too much, what tires do you guys have mounted that can handle better performance, and still street usable?

if possible can u all just list your rim size and tire information

Throttle control is key. Most tires spin up unless they are weather specific high performance tires. So far with lighter rims the tires still loose traction. My current tires do pretty well, Continental DWS extreme contact. Keep in mind that the Michelin AS3's out perform them quite a bit right now.

The Michelins have gotten some great reviews. The DWS are good for my driving habits but aren't great for very aggressive driving. Soft sidewalls make for exceptional ride comfort though.

19x7.5 Rims
225 40 R18

The front tires do roll a bit more than I like while cornering so the outside treads see more wear unless you're running more negative camber. 1 Degree seems to be a great sweet spot.

I have Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on my A-Specs right now. They're great all-around tires I actually can't remember the last time I spun them, they chirp nice though. Only downside is they can be quite noisy on the highway I have to always have my stereo at 20 minimum.

I was thinking either RE760 POTENZA or TOYO R888 (more agressive)

TOYO R888 ... best tire I ever seen! Never had it personally, but on my buddy's 400hp Cobalt SS street/track car ... he tried many other and non compared. BUT VERY expensive and don't last long (tire wear 100)

Depends on how much money you have...

R888 if you want a good tire that you'll need to replace more often.

I hear really good thing about the Hankook V12

For every day use I would probably go with something like Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Heard lot of good things about it.
